How we handle your data.
What Relievr collects, why, and what stays on your phone.
Who we are
Relievr (“Relievr”, “we”, “us”) is a stretching and mobility app. Our primary contact is Jason Dicks, who can be reached at support@relievr.co.za.
This policy explains what we collect when you use the Relievr app and relievr.co.za, why we collect it, and what control you have over it. Questions go to support@relievr.co.za.
What we collect
Account information
The email address you sign up with, and the credentials needed to keep you signed in. If you sign in through Apple or Google, we receive the identifier that service gives us and the email address you choose to share.
Your activity in the app
The routines you build, the protocols you open, sessions you complete, and any notes you log about how an area feels. This is what makes progress tracking and syncing to a new phone possible.
Device and diagnostic data
Device model, operating system version, app version, crash reports and a push notification token. We use this to fix faults, to tell which builds a problem affects, and to send the reminders you set.
FitBot conversations
The questions you ask FitBot and the replies it gives, so it can answer you in the app.
Support correspondence
If you email us, we keep the message and our reply so we can follow the thread.
How we use it
- To give you the app: your routines, your protocols, your progress, synced to your account.
- To keep the service working: diagnosing crashes, fixing playback faults, improving the library.
- To answer you when you contact support.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your health-related notes to target advertising.
Our legal basis
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on performance of our contract with you (providing the app), our legitimate interests (keeping the service secure and working), your consent (where we ask for it, such as optional analytics), and compliance with legal obligations.
In South Africa we process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). Our information officer is Jason Dicks, who can be reached at support@relievr.co.za.
Where your data is held
Our servers are in South Africa. Some of the services above, including Google Firebase, OneSignal and OpenRouter, process data in other countries, mainly the United States. Where personal information leaves South Africa or the European Economic Area, we rely on providers who offer a comparable level of protection, including standard contractual clauses where they apply.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information and routines for as long as your account is open. Delete your account and we remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep records for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons.
Crash and diagnostic data is kept in aggregate and is not tied to your account after 90 days.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- correct anything inaccurate;
- delete your account and the information attached to it;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- withdraw consent where our processing relies on it.
Email support@relievr.co.za and we will respond within the period the law allows us. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa, or to your local data protection authority in the EEA or UK.
Security
Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit, and access to production systems is restricted to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we ask you to use a strong, unique password and to tell us promptly if you think your account has been accessed by someone else.
Children
Relievr is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are 16 or 17, you need the consent of a parent or guardian to use Relievr. If you believe a child has given us information, email support@relievr.co.za and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page and, where the change is significant, tell you in the app. The current version was last updated on 8 October 2026.
